Three young men died on March 13, 2015 at approximately 4:00 A.M. when a westbound car they were travelling in, left the Trans-Canada Highway and crashed into the Hunter Creek Weigh Scale building west of Hope, B.C. 

A passing truck driver noticed the car against the weigh scale building and contacted police.

Hope RCMP joined by Hope Fire Department and BC Ambulance arrived at the scene of the collision where the men were found deceased in the wreckage of the car.   Hunter Creek scale was not open at the time of the collision.

“Fraser Valley Traffic Services, the RCMP Integrated Collision Analyst Reconstruction Section and B.C. Coroners Service are currently at the collision site continuing their investigation into the cause of the crash. “ says Cpl. Mike Rail Upper Fraser Valley Media Detachment Media Relations.

The Trans-Canada Highway is open in both directions.
