abbyPD3(Submitted by Bruce Claggett) An Abbotsford teenager is in big trouble after getting caught speeding through a school zone.
He was spotted going 100 kilometers over the speed limit.
Abbotsford Police set up outside a school about 20 minutes before the kids were due to leave for the day.
That’s when the driver flew through the school zone at 130 kilometers per hour.
And as Constable Ian MacDonald explains, this isn’t a ticket the 18-year-old boy will be able to hide.

“The young man was driving an SUV that belonged to his parents.  Now, unfortunately not only did he get an excessive speeding ticket, but the family has lost the use of their vehicle.”

He says because the teen is a new driver there’s a good chance he’ll have his licence taken away.
