canucks(Submitted by Simon Druker) It’s the end of the road for the Canucks; the players will clean out their lockers today.

And while the team and its management will try to sort out what went wrong after falling to the Calgary Flames in six games, while Vancouver Mayor Gregor Robertson will have to make good on a bet.

The mayor will need to don a Flames jersey and recite a poem written by Calgary Mayor Naheed Nenshi. The two civic leaders made the bet prior to the playoffs.

Robertson will also have to make a $5 donation to the food bank for each of the 18 goals the Flames scored in the series.

Meanwhile, fans are hungry for answers.

This week, the team should provide a more in-depth update on injured players today. But most questions will likely linger until the draft. The Canucks will need to address who stays and goes — whether they can move forward with the same core group — and then take a look at their goaltending.

The second round of the playoffs begins on Thursday, while the NHL draft begins June 26th.
