bike auctionChilliwack Restorative Justice is holding its annual used bike sale this Saturday at Bernard elementary.

Executive director Kathy Funk says the bikes are mostly ones that were recovered after being stolen.

“They basically are passed the length of time that they are kept in order to find out if anybody is trying to claim them. And so then they go into the city compound and then the city releases them to us when they get enough bikes for us to do an auction.”

The auction starts at 10, but Funk says you can check the bikes out at 9 to see what kind of shape they’re in.

“We haven’t done any work to them so some of them are gently used and are in really good shape and others might need a little TLC.”

The auction is to raise money for Resorative Justice school programs.
