This year, the Fraser Valley Health Care Foundation has a goal of raising money to replace and purchase additional sleeper chairs for the maternity floor of Chilliwack General Hospital.

These chairs convert into a bed for Dad, Grandma or anyone else that the labouring mom has as her main support during the delivery process. Over 800 babies are born each year at CGH, so these chairs get a lot of use. They need to be replaced so that it is possible to keep them sanitized between families for the hospital environment. It would also be great to have more of them available.

Thanks to Karen, Jewel and Elisa for spending a few minutes with me. These chairs weren’t available when my kiddo was born, so it was neat to see what options there are now.
