chilliwack fire deptA few people were forced out of their Grove Avenue home Saturday night after a fire caused damage to the roof and part of the interior.

The fire department was called in after a neighbor noticed smoke coming off one side of the house, and luckily the people inside were able to evacuate without getting hurt.

They’re now in the care of emergency social services.

The cause of the fire is under investigation.
