By-election to fill vacant seat on Chilliwack school board

It looks like there will be a by-election to fill the vacant spot on the Chilliwack school board on December 12th.
After spending 25 years on the board, Martha Wiens passed away two weeks ago….there will be a memorial for her on October 22nd at the Alliance Church. The timing of the by-election is unfortunate considering it falls soon after a federal election, and right before the holidays, but there are strict rules in place. For anyone wanting to run for the seat, the nomination period will be October 27th to November 6th.
