Our best wishes to a woman from Harrison Mills who was electrocuted this past weekend along with two of her dogs.
She was walking her dogs on Sunday near a corn field. Neighbours say they believe the dogs headed toward a sagging power line that was hanging about 2 ft above the ground. The woman was able to scream for help, and when a witness found her, she was on fire. Neighbour Ted Chapula told the Chilliwack Progress that the witness’ quick action may have saved this woman’s life.
As it is, the woman is in hospital being treated for severe burns, and both dogs died. BC Hydro says they had not been notified about the fallen line, but are sending their condolences to the victim.
