People in need of a safe, warm place to stay during the winter months in Abbotsford will have access to temporary shelter.  On Thursday, Mayor Henry Braun along with local MLAs Darryl Plecas and Simon Gibson were on hand to announce a 40 bed shelter that will operate from mid-December to next April.  It will be located on Riverside Rd.  The total cost of the project is $750,000, which will be shared by the city and the government.  The Lookout Emergency Aid Society will operate the shelter and will also provide health services and 3 meals a day.
