Chilliwack, BC: At the start of the pandemic, the Chilliwack Economic Recovery Network (CERN) was launched to help local businesses work towards recovery. In order to continue to serve as a resource to local businesses moving forward, CERN evolved into the Chilliwack Economic Resource Network.

In order to better serve Chilliwack businesses, CERN is excited to present the launch of a new website at chilliwackeconomicresourcenetwork.com. This website was built to assist businesses both during and post pandemic. Current resources offered on the website include:

  • Up-to-date government resources
  • Tools to grow your business
  • Tools to start a business
  • Sector specific resources
  • Calendar of upcoming workshops
  • Support local initiatives

Business owners and employees looking to advance their skills are encouraged to visit CERN’s new website to learn more about the upcoming free workshops designed to assist businesses in all facets of operations. Some of the topics include:

    • Digital skills
    • Branding and marketing
    • Commercialization of business

Thanks to funding through Western Economic Diversification Canada and the Rural Opportunity Fund, these workshops are free to attend.  They are available for business owners, management and staff.

“Throughout the pandemic, CERN has played an important role helping local businesses stay afloat. It’s exciting to see them continue to support businesses by offering innovative workshops that will help grow and expand essential skill sets within the business community,” said Mayor Ken Popove.
