sardis secondarySardis Secondary in Chilliwack was locked down for a brief time earlier today. School District Superintendent Evelyn Novak tells us a man came into the school who shouldn’t have been there.

“He came into the school, and was displaying some unstable behaviour.  He entered into one of our classrooms, and he was invited to leave with the assistance of our principal and a couple of teachers.  The school was in lock down for about 20 minutes.”

He was apparently talking about some concerns regarding food choices.  Chilliwack RCMP Cpl Mike Rail says the 40 yr old man was taken into custody, and it doesn’t appear any weapons were involved.  He says it’s under investigation and everyone is safe.

Novak says the school followed all the proper procedures, and reacted perfectly to the situation.
