Today we heard about Brownie, a cute 7 month old neutered male who has been in SPCA care for 160 days.  He was given up with two other rabbits as they were an unplanned litter.

He’s a friendly fellow but prefers not to be cuddled too much.  He is curious and playful though and enjoys pushing toys around his play area. You can meet Brownie at the Bosley’s at Promontory and Vedder.

The Chilliwack SPCA shelter is currently on a quarantine lockdown. They are currently caring for 20 cats and 15 dogs from a cruelty investigation/seizure from about a month ago. Quite a few of those animals are being treated for ringworm. To avoid the spread, the shelter is currently quarantined. If you find an injured stray animal, please call the shelter at 604-823-6612. The can arrange for care with one of the many local vet partners. If an animal needs to be brought in stray or to be surrendered, please call as well…during this quarantine, the animal(s) would need to be housed at a different location. Arrangements would need to be made in advance of an animal being dropped off.
