Meet Marnie! ??  She’s a black domestic short haired kitty (AKA house panther) and about 4 years old.

Marnie came to the SPCA shelter as a stray so unfortunately they do not know much about her previous life.

She was very afraid coming into shelter, but with the patience and kindness from special volunteers and staff she was able to open her heart to a few people. They know Marnie to be a chatty girl who likes to explore the area she is in, once she feels safe by your side. Marnie would like a home that does not have any other pets, especially dogs as she is not used to them and the shelter crew has noticed that it affects her time spent with them. If she hears dogs, she will even pull herself away from them.

She would do best in a home with a guardian that has experience with cats and is willing to give Marnie the time and environment that she can thrive in. She is very affectionate and loving once you have gained her trust!

If you’d like to know more about Marnie or if you think you might be the perfect home for her, please submit your online cat application to the Chilliwack branch. Feel free to call 604-823-6612 to speak with Chilliwack staff as well.
