FRASER VALLEY BANDITS ANNOUNCE UPDATED TIMELINE FOR GAME DAY EXPERIENCE FOR THURSDAY, JUNE 13, HOME GAME AT ABBOTSFORD CENTRE AGAINST THE SASKATCHEWAN RATTLERS

ABBOTSFORD, BC, June 13, 2019 – The Fraser Valley Bandits announced Thursday that the team’s regularly scheduled outdoor pre-game experience has been cancelled and that Abbotsford Centre will open its doors at 5:45 p.m. to allow for special early admission into the venue in advance of Game 6 of the NBA Finals between the Toronto Raptors and the Golden State Warriors.

Beginning at 6 p.m. Game 6 of the NBA Finals will be played on Abbotsford Centre’s main video screen, on televisions throughout the concourse, and in the VIP Club area. This updated timeline of events will allow for Bandits and basketball fans to have a unique opportunity to take in the beginning of the Raptors game prior to tip-off of the Bandits game, which will proceed as scheduled at 7 p.m.

The Raptors game will continue to play on televisions throughout the concourse and in the VIP Club area, and live PA announcements will be made over the course of the game to help keep fans updated regarding the score of Game 6 of the NBA Finals.

“After a highly successful NBA Finals Viewing Party last Monday, in which we saw thousands of attendees from across the Fraser Valley fill the building to help support the Raptors in Game 5, I am excited to make today’s Bandits game day as accessible as possible for fans who are hoping to enjoy both games,” said Bandits Team President Lee Genier.

“This will be a well-rounded entertainment experience and an awesome opportunity to celebrate the rise of Canadian basketball together under one roof.”
