Chilliwack:  On October 4, 2018 around 2:20 p.m., Chilliwack RCMP was called to the 46000-block of Yale Road after receiving a report of shots fired.  Officers arrived and located a person suffering a life threatening injury.  The victim was transported by BC Ambulance to hospital where the victim succumbed to their injury.

 

The area surrounding the scene will be cordoned off for an undetermined amount of time.  The Integrated Homicide Investigation Team (IHIT) has been called and will be working in partnership with Chilliwack RCMP.

 

Police are in the early stages of the investigation and believe this was not a random act.
