The principal at Rick Hansen Secondary in Abbotsford is getting national recognition.  David de Wit has been named one of Canada’s Outstanding Principals of 2016.  de Wit is one of 40 in the entire country to receive the honour for their exemplary leadership.  Among other things, de Wit oversaw the transition to the Rick Hansen School of Science and Business.  The National Academy of Canada’s Outstanding Principals is now up to 400 members….there was one previous winner from Abbotsford in 2011, Rob Comeau, who is now the principal at Abbotsford Senior.  de Wit will receive the award at the annual gala in Toronto late next month.
