sabrinaSome local realtors in Chilliwack have stepped up their fundraising game. The annual Salvation Army Christmas Kettle campaign is on right now, and Sabrina Vandenbrink was volunteering at a kettle a couple weeks ago, when her kids gave her the idea of matching donations. She and 3 of her colleagues, Kellee Romaine, Joanne Smith and Deborah Williamson, are doing just that.

“We are going to be at the Coopers Foods, which is now Save-On Foods, in Garrison Crossing.  On Thursday, December 17th we’re going to be there from 2-6pm.  We were willing to match donations up to $2,000, but we’ve actually increased it up to $5,000 now.”

She says she likes the kettle campaign because the money raised stays local. She’s hoping other businesses that are able to will also match donations.
