abby farm marketThe intense heat we saw at times over the last month kept a lot of people from venturing out of their air conditioned homes, but it hasn’t seemed to hurt business at the Abbotsford Farm Market.

Market manager Bruce Fatkin says crowds were still strong.

“The most that we’ll ever drop in terms of customer count for our really really bad day is maybe 20% or something like that. Our customer base is just incredibly loyal.”

In fact, because the hot weather caused a lot of crops to come in early, there has actually been even more people at the market than typical for this time of year.
