waterdripChilliwack director of engineering David Blaine says there is a chance the city could have to go to a full sprinkling ban if there isn’t much rain over the next several weeks.

However he says so far it’s too early to say for sure one way or the other.

“What we’re doing is monitoring the Vedder river and the aquafir levels and we’ll see how it goes. This is a fairly unprecedented drought.”

Blaine says most people have been complying with current restrictions and no fines have been issued, but about 25 people have been given warnings.
