Chilliwack Community ServicesChilliwack Community Services is showing off it’s new Imagination Station with an open house at the Neighborhood Learning Centre this week.

Early years director Darby Wilkinson says the imagination station is designed to be a play area that contrasts with many toys where there are only so many options on how to play with them.

“We wanted a structure that based on a child’s imagination it could turn into anything that they wanted it to be. It could become a spaceship, it could become a ranch, it could become a doctor’s office, it could be a house.”

The Imagination Station play area is open for families with kids up to six years old whenever the Downtown Family Place is open, which is noon to 2 PM Monday to Friday.
